We restored the 1820’s Adams Home in Brighton.

View another restoration.

A cherished possession needs to be made beautiful and functional again. Metro Legacy Homes, LLC, successfully completed a major project on the historically significant 1820’s Adams Home in the Town of Brighton, New York. This home was uninhabitable and destined to be demolished. Utilizing a This Old House approach, we restored this home to its original beauty.

Its interior was gutted and reinforced, floor heights were changed, new structural materials for the floor and wall framing were added, new mechanicals were brought in and more. The original wide plank pine floor was reinstalled, original window and door trim was used, the original windows were reconditioned and saved. In order for the project to work, a family would need to live there comfortably. We designed a 2,000 square foot addition which compliments the original 900 square foot home with a modern kitchen and master suite.

In addition, Metro Legacy Homes was able to develop the adjacent lots to the Adams House and build two complimentary homes. This project has been a testimony to our vision and our capabilities. We bring this level of professionalism and skill to all projects.
